So I was at this party and met a very good looking guy. For whatever reason, he was very attracted to me and kept coming back to talk to me, asking for my number, etc. I would normally consider him WAY out of my league. Anyway, we had a good conversation so I was happy with the whole thing. After about an hour of talking we had a little kiss goodnight...well, then the b*ches came out.:
One of my friends watched & said "wait - did you just force yourself on him? I couldn't tell...was that mutual?"
Another one of my "friends" said - "wow, he was hot- that must have been an ego boost."
Last, a RANDOM guy interupted us while the guy was putting my number in his cell phone. The random drunken guy goes - "Don't lose his number! I wouldn't want to lose him!" I was like - dude, he's getting my number!
Aright so I am not Tyra Banks hot but I am not fugly - what the he11?? This was a party with a lot of ivy league academic ppl so the superficiality really shocked me.

I mean, a lot of them are in academia / phd students, etc... it happens to be an ivy league school but this fact doesnt give people the right to be a$$ holes.... something screwed up was happening... 3 people in a row! are people this bothered by couples that don't match on looks?

"Wait - did you just force yourself on him? I couldn't tell...was that mutual?"
Answer: (Look the person up and down then say... )"I can understand YOUR confusion coming from a lack experience in the romance area."
"Wow, he was hot- that must have been an ego boost."
Answer: "It wasn't bad for me either!"
"Don't lose his number! I wouldn't want to lose him!"
Answer: "Too bad he doesn't swing both ways."
And yes they were totally rude. You can make a come back, ignore them, or look them straight in the eye without a trace of emotion on your face and say, "And the reason for your statement was...?" And not say another word.

Well you've got two options here:
1. Sit there and think about what these drunken people have said to you.
2. Focus on the fact that you've just given your number to a really hot guy that obviously likes you.
Keep your mind on number two and then show off your brand new boyfriend down at the mall to all your jealous friends!

I think you should tell her that your party IS on a sunday and your sorry that she wont be able to make it. That way you "have" to invite another friend that is more kind and more importantly LESS RUDE. On your birthday your friends should be making sure its a better day for you (and vice versa). Every one needs to be happy. So find people tht wont be snobby and that you can get along with

sounds to me they were all a little jealous, I'm sure you are very attractive and you must have other great qualities as well, easy to talk to etc. These women and men were rude, the guys saying things indicate they were jealous you didn't pay them attention and for the girls, they didn't get the attention they wanted from this guy. You win, they didn't. Ignore them. They are not your friends.

Don't bother about what they all said (and yeah they were pretty rude) but you know, sometimes people lose something really important at a party----their brain.
Just enjoy your time and don't bother about what they said, probably most of them were jealous they didn't get a hot guy! ;)

were there only 5 people at this party? How come there was so much interest in this little phone escapade you were having with Hot Boy? Seems strange. Your "friends" are jealous and rude as hell.

Lesson learned here? Anytime there are people and alcohol involved, people are going to be obnoxious and rude, Ivy League or not.

"ivy league academic ppl". Well, there's the problem right there. Ignore these morons. They probably had too much to drink.
