I know this is sort of a wierd question, but I can't figure out what shift is better. Waking up early sucks, but not being able to use my day because I'm working for most of it, sucks too. Any suggestions?

Note: I'm a HUGE night owl. I can stay up until 6am without trying. Getting up at 5am sounds nearly impossible. But next fall I will be attending university, and eventually become a teacher, so I assume that getting myself into a morning regimen, is probably good in the long run....

Just checking if any of you have been in the same confusing situation, and what you chose in the end. Thanx for your time!

I would go with the 7:30 am shift, myself. Give yourself an evening over a morning for fun

personally i would go with the 7am-330 shift. yea you would have to get up a bit early to catch the bus, but how long does it take to get to work? you can catch some breakfast on the way and also get a chance to read the paper or listen to music or do crossword puzzles. you will be done at 330 so you will still have your night - and trust me you get used to the early mornings pretty quick - give it a week until you get into a routine.

i have working shifts that start at like 2pm bcuz if you catch a bus at 12, your not getting home until much later and then you probably wont get up early, so when you finally do get up you gotta get ready for work.

but - overall your the one that will be working the shift.

7 Am, you will get used to waking up early, and you'll have more of your day left. You will spend most of your time slleping with the other shift.

Go for the early shift, when you've finished the rest of the day is yours

the 7 am one - least then you wont be walking around streets at midnight and easier to wait for buses - if you miss your one.
also can go to bed early and your body clock isnt messed up and you have from 3.30 onwards to do whatever you want
