My television cost €117.00 and I love it. 2000.00 is a lot for a TV but whatever floats your boat. I will get my enjoyment this Christmas from a Santa in the guardian which lights up and my outside fairy lights. My big Christmas tree covered in baubles that have great memories for me. The star was made by my chld ,many many years ago. Its cardboard and tin foil and always has pride of place on the top. And hopefully we will have peace and warmth and plenty of food. Oh I forgot and maybe we might have a sing song and a few jokes.

A friend of mine in Germany got the Sony Bravia 50 inch rear-projection LCD, and I'm here to tell you that the picture is as good as, if not better than, a similarly sized plasma. If budget is a concern, it might not be a bad option. It's certainly a hell of a lot cheaper than £2000. (see link below)
And the screen won't die in 2 years.
But, if you simply must have plasma, you can't go past the Samsung PS50Q7H (see second link below).

if you go to curry's they will do you a 50" LG tv with a few extras thrown in for just over £2000.-i have the 42" version of the same set and it rocks beleive me!!.. and no the screens do not die after two years-if this were the case then why was i given a 5 year panel guarantee with my plasma set???

What Hi Fi Magazine or Home Cinema Choice are best resources for this. They do monthly round ups of screens and will be able to point you in the right direction.

but try pricerunner.co.uk gives impartial reviews and lowest prices in the uk

Ask Which MAGAZINE they give a constructive report on all makes,value for money, to ask on this site will mean, someone who has bought a specific make will think that that is the best and advise you on it.
