does anybody know how long it takes for a 2 year old to get deyhrated and how people get olsers my daughter come back from a 2 day vist with her dad and she was put in hopital from dehydration and olsers i have no idea what causes them and her dad didnt know she was sick any ideas

yeah they did they didnt say how long it takes to get it she was dressed in jumper and pants in 38 degree weather they said olsers are from dry mouth

It doesn't take long at all for a toddler to get dehyrdrated. ESPECIALLY if they have a fever, are vomiting, have diarrhea or a combination of all of those. Dehyrdation is very dangerous. If your little one had a fever it's hard not to notice because some become sleepy and don't want to play. They want to lay around and sleep.

What is an olser? Dehydration is not that he didn't give her fluids she may have been sick when you handed her to him . Didn't the hospital explain that.

Perhaps she had a fever and he didn't know it. You really need to ask the doctor at the hospital or anyone else assigned to her at the hospital.
