i want to know the different classes in which people travel for eg. sleeper class

I've visited india about 4 times, seeing I live in England and my mother's family lives in Indian. My family has always travelled sleeper class with our relatives in india. Even though the gap between 1st is really nothing in terms of money from my family, i really do not know why we do not travel 1st.
But i can imagine the huge difference in cost between the classes for people who live and work very hard in India and the terrible conditions for people who travel for 24hours or so in the lower classes

there are many types and they vary with the trains. first u have to think of the train in which u want the class and then check it out in any of the railways link like
