He is listed as being 74 on 12-11-2005 in the Racing post
He is one of now gone breed of lightweight jockies who rode at
7 stone .
I seem to remember the L standing for Lionel but he always
know on courses in 70s as Cliff.

Never wrote his memoirs to my knowledge.

lc parkes was a lightweight jockey from up north
