I'm in a really bad way. It's the demon red wine that did it. Or it could have been that one vodka I had that finished it off. I can't keep anything down, burst all my blood vessels heaving, so something to settle my stomach would be good so that I can go back to bed and sleep it off. Boo hoo!!! :-(

I did drink water in between drinks and when I got in and I can usually drink like a fish but I don't know what happened. I tried a slice of dry bread to soak it up but I couldn't keep that down either. I've got nothing in my stomach now but I'm still heaving.

Big sympathy - so horrible to feel like this - hope it was a good night and worth it though!

Chuck on a tracksuit and a baseball cap and get yourself a couple of bottles of sparkling mineral water, some soluble Berocca, some food (like pie and chips!) the Sunday papers and some Haribo Star Mix.

Drink all the water with a couple of Berocca tablets (it's a super ace multi-vitamin effort that works wonders) eat your high calorie food and then collapse with the papers and your Haribo on the sofa in front of some suitably terrible TV - I tend to find Hollyoaks works wonders.

Then get yourself down to the pub early evening and have a couple of halves of lager and lime.

Hope you're feeling better soon :-)

Take a panadol and try and drink as much water as you can stomach. Panadol will take away your headache and help u sleep it off, water will rehydrate your body that you so cruelly punished with that darstadly red wine.
The water wont kick in until a few hours, try and eat a slice of bread or something, soak up the alcohol that is still swishing around in your tummy and causing you grief.

Next time drink some water in between drinks, and water before you pass out in bed. Trust me it works, I've conquered the red wine before.

That happened to me just once (still think there was something in that drink, as I'd had more on plenty of occasions). If you can't keep ANYthing down, EVEN water, then you have to find another way to get liquid in. The dehydration itself is causing the problem. When it happened to me, after feeling like dying all day long, I went to the surgery and kept insisting on an IV drip. After a couple more hours they agreed and finally gave me one. I was feeling a LOT better in 20 min or so.

You need this in any order, but start with a shot of vodka! then something to eat that is tomato based: enchiladas, lasagna, spaghetti or even scrambled eggs with tomatoes, water, bread, orange juice, aspirin/acetemininophen/ibuprofin, 7 up. If the tomato based food isn't available and you can only do greasy breakfast go for it, but the tomato seems to really help. I guess that's why a lot of people have Bloody Mary's the next day!

The best thing I find is to drink a glass of Orange Juice, or Tomato Juice and take an Aspirin. The citric acid helps to burn off the alcohol faster and the Aspirin helps for the pain. If possible do this before you go to bed at night and you can also eat crackers to "absorb" whats left in your tum.

tomatoe juice and a shot of vodka (not the cheap one) should wake up pretty refreshed

try to drink a pint of water before you go asleep after a good drink as headaches and such are caused by dehydration
