Crusty bread from the bakery. About 20 yrs ago I discovered that Brits have lost the art of slicing bread. On a visit to Switzerland, my sister-in-law was totally incapable of cutting a reasonable slice of bread off a loaf - and my breadsaw was not to blame.

The invention of a bread slicing machine which automatically cuts your loaf into slices all of equal width so that you don't have to spend hours sawing away and depleting your loaf into a pile of crumbs. I should imagine that this invention came directly before the invention of sliced bread and therefore I believe this to be the best thing...and before this??? God we could be here forever!

home made hot from the oven bread with butter...........mmmmmmmmmm or maybe home made brownies...hot from the oven with ice cream........or maybe homemade bagels with cream cheese and strawberries jam.....or pecan pie.....with whip cream........or maybe just going to the gym cause I'm getting fat just thinking about it.....OK so i live in a small town no gym..........but i could run in the park............or maybe walk around the block.............or the best idea yet ill just turn on the TV which was a way better idea than sliced bread...he he

which were around before sliced bread! I couldn't of said unsliced bread but potatos is my answer.. Perogies is my favourite food!

Sliced Tyrannasaurus Rex was quite good, but it had to be fried, and the Velociraptors weren't very good with frying-pans. They died of starvation as a result.

The knife that enabled you to slice your own.
I only answered this coz it gives me a chance to knock the french - I drove through france as part of my job last year, & sliced bread is like rocking horse pooh! Those french are so goddam retarded! I would go so far as to say that I think the USA will knock them out of this year's world cup.
BTW - I aint american, I'm english.
