Affection: Chibah (חיבה, pronounced: chi-bA)

'Ahavah is the most common word in Modern Hebrew for love and the root ['.h.v] is the most used for "loving" words.
Other roots that are commonly used are [d.v.d] that is the root of words such as "yadid" (friend) and "David" (the name, means "beloved"), and [ch.v.v]- the root of the word "chibah".
