I am sure this expression has sthg to do with Roman God Janus who had two faces on opposite sides of his head. He can be used as a symbol for hypocrisy.

a person who has two faces (or maybe more). in other words he acts differently in different places just to benefit from it. a two faced person might act like he is your friend when ur with buncha hot girls and the next day when u go see him and he's hanging out with some hot chicks he act like he's never ever seen you in his life before. but that's just one exaple. other examples include people like george bush, saddam husein, michael jackson, etc.
just to make it simple: a two faced person is a fake *** muh fucka who acts a certain way in one place and acts differently in another.
