Piezoelectricity is generated by piezoelectric material. A substance, usually crystalline in nature that generates a voltage when it is put under pressure (squeezed). This material will also minutely change it's shape if an electrical charge is placed across it. Examples are Quartz, Rochelle salts, and Barium Titanate. Uses, microphone elements, miniature speakers, crystal controlled oscillators, crystal filters, and ceramic resonators. Hows that?
