I have to wash it every day and as it is very long the ends become very dry.

First, always brush dry hair out before showering and before bed. That helps to redistribute oils from the roots down to the ends, which often need the moisture. Second, try to use shampoos and conditioners formulated to oily hair. Third, hold off on styling products for a day or two to see if that is adding to the problem.

Every few washes use laundry powder - tried and tested, it works, and...no conditioner!

use shampoo 2 ur scalp n conditioner 2 ur ends..
