"AUP"

I'm English. A bloke I have been talking to has been putting that at the beginning of his texts, sometimes in the context of "AUP darling how are ya?"

I live in the South, he's a bit more up north. Nottinghamshire - is that any help?

Scrap that, what tha fook does it mean ???

Same as "Aye Up"... It is a Yorkshire term (though probably pinched by others)... It is Yorkshire for "Hello there"... :D

im from manchester, some times we say "hey up mate" or something to that effect. I would say it is definatley a shortened version of that.
Just a pretty standard greeting really.
