Well, I research many other religins, because I like to have a clear understanding of everyones point of view, so I was wondering. Well, islam women wear the burka so they can't be objectified right. Well, would the turben be the same thing but for men? I mean, men can be objectified to, so that's why I was wondering if that was why they wore the turben. If not, what do they do to provent being objectified? Do they even do anything? Please ansewer!

Burkha is not something we are even required to wear, but some women chose it. muslim men do not wear turbans, but if you mean what they were in saudi arabia, its called the 7ata, only they wear it for cultural reasons, even non religious ones.

The burqa is not the same like the headscarf. The headscarf is called hijab. The burqa is a dress of women in Afghanistan that covers the entire body, including the face. And as far as I know the turban has nothing to do with that.

As you say that you want to search / research on these issues, therefore you have to read yourself.
As far as 'burka' is concerned, there are orders from Allah (swt) to Muslims women to be dressed properly and cover themselves up to their chests ( meaning are like that and not the exact verse).
About the turban the men wear, that is as matter of respect and follow the actions of prophet MUHAMMAD (pbuh).
If you study the teaching of Christianity, you may find dress code for ladies ,as followed by nuns. Similarly wearing of a small cap by Jews.

i'm a Muslim and that i does not be indignant in any respect and neither could any Muslims i understand. in certainty, i think of this is particularly brave of you--donning the hijab is a tricky decision for Muslim women on my own who're given the alternative. So i don't think of everyone could be indignant. you may gown the way you pick. And in case you prefer to gown modestly, then it somewhat is an fantastic decision. confident you may positioned on a hijab with denims, as I pronounced you may gown the way you pick. once you're questioning on the way you may substitute into Muslim, then the 1st difficulty you may do is learn up on it, communicate with a pair Muslims on your community--the final public are friendly--, and in Islam to alter into Muslim you may say the Shahada, that's a proclamation that there is in basic terms one God, and that Muhammad is the messenger of God. And confident, a non-muslim individual can walk right into a Muslim outfits save, particularly, why not? i'm hoping i substitute into waiting to be of help. Peace :)

Well, the Muslim womens' dress of a full black cloak and veil - the burqa has been banned in Holland.

I believe there is a move to ban this in a lot of Countries, too.

Because it's a Security Risk and a lot of Islamic terrorists can easily carry a lot of arms cloaked in those dresses and cause mayhem and then mingle among innocent Muslim women.

The cause of the furore, however, was something very mundane. Many Muslim women went to the ATM where they were asked to raise the veil by the Security Guards and they refused, which had the Guards refuse them entry. A similar incident then happened at a bank where the Security cameras were in place and the same thing happened. Then in a Mall and somebody filed a pro-bono publico case in Court and the Court ruled against the veil, which had the Government ban it, totally.

Hope this helped.

Insofar as the men needing to wear turbans goes, I think the Muslims, men, that is, have to wear a skull cap. I don't know what that's called, though.

I haven't met a single Muslim wearing a turban.
Its cultural, not religious.
Burka is not the same thing as headscarf. Burka is the things those Afghan women wear.

The Burqa is an all encompassing dress.Headscarfs are called Hijab.

From my questions and answers on here, not all Muslim women wear them, however all I have talked to say they wear it by choice. One says she chooses NOT to wear it.It's more cultural than anything.

With men I believe it's also modesty, but it's not as common.

Women wear them to hide their beauty from those she does not wish to see it.Modesty is the driving factor here.

Dress Code for Believers*

[24:30] Tell the believing men that they shall subdue their eyes (and not stare at the women), and to maintain their chastity. This is purer for them. GOD is fully Cognizant of everything they do.

[24:31] And tell the believing women to subdue their eyes, and maintain their chastity. They shall not reveal any parts of their bodies, except that which is necessary. They shall cover their chests, and shall not relax this code in the presence of other than their husbands, their fathers, the fathers of their husbands, their sons, the sons of their husbands, their brothers, the sons of their brothers, the sons of their sisters, other women, the male servants or employees whose sexual drive has been nullified, or the children who have not reached puberty. They shall not strike their feet when they walk in order to shake and reveal certain details of their bodies. All of you shall repent to GOD, O you believers, that you may succeed.

------------------------------...
*24:30-31 Dressing modestly, therefore, is a trait of the believing men and women. The minimum requirements for a woman's dress is to lengthen her garment (33:59) and to cover her chest. Tyrannical Arab traditions have given a false impression that a woman must be covered from head to toe; such is not a Quranic or Islamic dress.
Encourage Marriage to Discourage Immorality

[24:32] You shall encourage those of you who are single to get married. They may marry the righteous among your male and female servants, if they are poor. GOD will enrich them from His grace. GOD is Bounteous, Knower.

[24:33] Those who cannot afford to get married shall maintain morality until GOD provides for them from His grace. Those among your servants who wish to be freed in order to marry, you shall grant them their wish, once you realize that they are honest. And give them from GOD's money that He has bestowed upon you. You shall not force your girls to commit prostitution, seeking the materials of this world, if they wish to be chaste. If anyone forces them, then GOD, seeing that they are forced, is Forgiver, Merciful.

[24:34] We have revealed to you clarifying revelations, and examples from the past generations, and an enlightenment for the righteous.
