Don't worry. Sometimes big teeth erupt before the baby teeth are ready to fall out. Give it a couple of weeks, especially as the tooth is already loose. If it puts your mind at rest, take her to the dentist. When I was 9 yrs old, I had 6 teeth removed as my mouth was overcrowded with both sets fighting for space.

What you are describing is not that unusual. Most likely the milk tooth will eventually fall out on its own, of course, but in the meantime his mouth will be a bit crowded. I would think that the only thing a dentist would do is pull the milk tooth, which might be a bit traumatic, and the dentist won't want to do that unless it is essential. When the milk tooth falls out the new one will move forward to fill in the gap. I would wait a week or two and see what happens. The milk tooth is probably loose now.

For sure take her to the dentist - this tooth probably will not correct it self, so they need to pull the milk tooth out at least.

Go see the dentist, this is quite common. my son had quite a few second teeth come through where he still had baby teeth. it was still happening when he was 11 (which he was most embarassed about) The dentist will probably decide to remove the baby tooth to give the adult tooth room to grow.

Ian, hey my sons lower teeth did this and they turned out just fine but I would still take her to the dentist he can help prevent her from having to have braces in the future. Good luck with the tooth fairy. We didn't have change one night my daughter lost her tooth and what do you know the tooth fairy gaver her $5.

Don't worry. It's just trying to come in with the other tooth still there. Once the other tooth falls out, it will move in and take it's place.

If its already coming up in the wrong place, the dentist might not be able to do anything to help it. She may need a retainer or braces to help move it over time to the correct place.
