The juices used in the process of digestion get diluted and hence less effective. If, however, u take water say half an hour earlier is ok. Taking small quantities in between is also ok particularly if ur food is all dry.

i've always been told to drink 2 large glasses of water 30 minutes before a meal, to keep from over-eating.

Hmmm.. I have honestly never heard of this. I have always heard it's great to drink alot of water around meal time, it's healthy for you, and will actually help you fill up faster.

They don't want the food to pass thru you too quickly, but I always wash every bite down, always have
