It is their choice. They are not forced to, if they opt not to be baptised. Nobody should force religion on anybody.

Because christians are already christians and only the other community needs to convert to christianity.

Christian missions are attracting or rather forcing the oppressed people of other community offering good education, food and shelter and a nice job with handsome salary - being the basic needs of today's man. They offer all these to poor people coz they have it and poor people don't have it.

If you offer all those basic amenities on a condition to get converted to any other religion of your choice, they would do so. Its humane to incline towards the giver.

After all its the struggle for survival. What else can a poor parent can think of, when the children are starving?

Birds of a feather flock together.
People generally feel comfortable to be in presence of those who are like them. For example, if I have a good sense of humour then I would like to be in presence of people with good sense of humour.
The idea of conversions must have started with the same reason. If all the persons belong to same community then there will be no communal problems.
I also feel that in olden days when there was shortage of resources, conversions must be helping in inventory control. You avoid duplication of resources... eg. Hindus use 'Diya' where oil is the fuel and Christians use candles where wax is the fuel. If all are Hindus then they won't need wax... isnt it?
This, I feel is the basis of conversions... mutual benefit, high comfort level and inventory control.
Forceful conversions by buying the sentiments of other persons is definitely not serving the purpose. If the conversions are taking place by giving money then the family which gets money is benefited temporaily but as such it's not a healthy activity.

Why is Conversion done by one religious group bad and that by another group right? People convert to other religions, discarding their earlier faith, mainly because of disappointment with the religious authorities or th local clergy on account of misuse of religious processes. There are Christians converting to Hinduism or Sikh Panth , Hindus joining the Buddhist faith or Jain Panth ,etc. As long as these are honest change of faith, no one should have any quarrel with it. But when calamities or poverty are exploited for inducing conversion from one faith to the other, it becomes a matter for introspection for both sides. How strong will be the faith of such new converts? Will they get fair and equal treatment with the existing flock in the new religion?
It is better to study each case carefully than to blame any particular Community for a conversion.

If people are attracted to Christ because of a Christian's good works - i.e. giving to the poor, helping them with their education, etc - then that is simply seeing the love of Christ in action.

It all depends on the people's hearts, their motivations - are they trying to simply fill up their church? Are they sincerely trying to help or are they really just bribing the converts?

I don't hear you say that the Christians are taking money from the poor - so at least they are practicing " it is more blessed to give than to receive".

And conversion is a matter of the heart. True conversion cannot be forced upon anyone.

God bless!!

To spread their religion - for some
To make money - for some
They exploit our constitution with the help of selfish politicians. They offer education, medical care, jobs, money... to the poor and illiterate to get converted to christianity.Of course they uplift poor, and they do it with foreign money.
The Indian Government is turning a blind eye to the consequences of these conversions. It should be ashamed of leaving the upliftment of the poor to these Missionaries.
The docile Hindus are passive spectators of these blatant erosion of their culture.Only If some them start questioning this we can save our culture.
A true Indian should not fall a prey to foreign money.
We must earn foreign money through fair means, not beg for it.

The offer of money and education for conversion is like a bait in the hook of a fishing rod . After converseion the church would require he chriians to pay a thithe tha amouns to ten per cent of youyr income . so convrsion ois jus a business ha will awell he cofers of he church and also would enhabxce the political powe of he chruch.ha is the rasom that they are keen on convrting people to chritianity.in the name of the command of God .Religiins is also a very good business whre he business man is not a all answerable for anyhng though you pay him volutarily while you hate o pay your taxes to he government and and you demand so many hings in return form the government for the taxes you pay it .You demand nothing from the church and you pay it voluntarily and willingly.

BECAUSE THEY DON'T HAVE ANY TANGIBLE SPIRITUAL TEACHINGS TO OFFER! so they have to replace them with material goals and values. slowley christianity is moving away from the real teachings of the bible and into a more materialistic outlook to life. Jesus never taught to enjoy a very opulent life, neither did he teach to be proud, but I find the majority of Christians out there have got a 'Holier than thou', condescending vibe. Not all though, there are some sweet humble compassionate Christians out there, but hard to find. Jesus said thou shalt not kill but how vehemantly most christians defend meat eating!! lost the plot.

You should worry more out forced religions. Christians share God's word and are charitable. You can not change any ones beliefs with a bribe. No one can be saved by a man it is hearts that must change and the only one that can save someone is God. This is what Jesus taught and is what Christians believe so if this has been concern of yours you are wasting time. No one comes to the Father but through the Son. We can share the truth with you but only God can make it real to you. I can plant a seed but only God can make a tree.

They believe they are the exclusive franchisees of God and it is their duty to rescue others from the Devil. They are giving money because their old ways of forcing people to convert are not possible in today's time.Till the early part of the 20th century,Christianity spread overwhelmingly by the use of brute force. Now force does not work,at least not openly!

Because they are intolerant of other belief systems. This has been happening since the birth of christianity but way back then, they just killed people who would not convert.
