I would suggest on educating yourself before you go out buying a bird. Learn how to spell and take care of birds first. Make sure you have enough money to pay for vet bills, a proper cage, food, etc. Parrots can be very expensive to take care of, especially if you go the cheap route with a backyard breeder and get a bird with health issues.

You just have to shop around, look in your local paper for people who breed birds, they are usually a lot less expensive that your local pet store. Also building a cage would be a lot less expensive for a parrott, so build your cage first and it needs to be large, because I dont believe you can clip a parrotts wings, but that i am not 100% sure about.
