For the record I am a conservative and voted for Bush in the previous 2 elections. It reflects on Christianity because they were brought up by extreme fundamentalism. As for me, I am not scared of judges. I don’t do crimes, amongst many reasons, because I actually feel empathy like a normal human being and realize the difficulty and intricacy of life.

You can find people who do heinous things from all backgrounds in life. As you should well know, people, once past a certain age will do whatever they decide to do. You cannot simply pick one group(Christians) and find the minority in that group then find heinous crimes and associate this minority in an extremely large group of people with those crimes. You can "make up" all the statistics you want to in order to further your point against a belief system that you may not agree with. That doesn't make it fact, just assumption.

You, as an Atheist, are SCARED TO DEATH of Judges, Police and laws that might put you in jail if you, say, run over someone walking on the shoulder of the road late at night. That generally gets you 18 months in the big house, even if it's an accident. You have NO BUSINESS driving on the shoulder. The shoulder is an ISLAND, a SIDEWALK. So YOU fear SIN and HELL just the same as any religious person when faced with going to the big house.

I think its because they are so repressed. They are controlled so much that eventually they just snap,and by murdering it gives them a feeling of being in control. This is just one of the dangers of religious extremists. You have only to look at some of the posts on here from some of them. They seem to be at breaking point,and are so full of hate,anger and aggression.

From a christian standpoint, the church is under attack. Thus diminishing faith in GOD. This is what the devil wants. What better way to achieve this goal, but get a bunch of so called christian's to do horrible acts and claim loyalty to GOD. Those who do not believe or on the border line are likely to lose faith. Read revelations, this is all written...ie father against son, brother against brother. Hope my answer helps.
