Yes. Vote for politicians that promise to increase minimum wage.

It is disgusting that minimum wage has not increased for so long. I think politicians should have their pay linked to minimum wage. If they want a pay increase, they should have to raise minimum wage by the same percentage. In addition it should be illegal to pay less than federal minimum wage to waiting staff.

If no one is willing to pay you more than 2.13 now, they are unlikely to be willing to employ you at all if minimum wage is increased. If eliminating the job is not an option, they will just increase the price of whatever they sell to cover the increased cost of paying you. Either way, you are no better off.

BTW: this belongs in Careers & Employment, not Credit.

Minimum wage is $7 or something. Get a job at McDonalds.
