carlos newton and GSP have many similarities. they both from Canada, they both soft spoken, never badmouthing ppl like hughes, and they are world class fighter. they both fought matt and dominate him,and also can beat matt at any time.
right now no in the ufc welterweight division, including hughes can beat GSP,so should the ronin, carlos newton return to the ufc and beat the hell out of GSP?

No he would never do well. Not because he don't have what it take, but because he's studying to become neurologist (not sure if I spell brain surgeon correct). Medical school is extremely stressful and eat your time up like crazy. So it'll be a huge distract to him.

Edit: To the idiot who say medical school will still be there. Newton make a smart move, he quit while he still have his health. It's clearly you have never been a fighter before. It's not all that glamour and as easy as you think. I'm sure Newton will be carrying at least couple pains with him for rest of his life. So he made a smart move.

Hello, this is Earth calling.

GSP badmouthed Hughes in the octogon, right after a Hughes fight. If Newton dominated hughes, why did he lose? Why didn't he get a rematch? GSP is the only one that has ever dominated Hughes and Newton couldn't beat GSP. If Newton could beat Hughes, why doesn't he?

That's great he is in medical school, but it will still be there when he retires. Newton basically quit fighting.

Nope. You can't go to medical school and fight in the UFC at the same time. He's done that before and he wasn't successful at it.
