Actually....here's the lowdown on celery...a bunch of celery is really a stalk...one piece is called a rib. This is one of the most confusing things to remember.

When refering to the whole celery it is a head or a bunch of celery. And the individual "pieces" as stalks or ribs. Like a head of garlic contains many cloves.

there is no plural word for celery. you would either say a bunch of celery or a bundle of celery
