i use to read quran verses in graveyard for the sawab of my father am i doing right or wrong

ask your imam.... take my word for it, there is always a ruddy rule in religion to stop you doing what your heart needs to do

Probably it is more appropriate to recite Quran from your memory, instead of reading from The Book. You may as well recite or read at your home and intend it for sawab to your dear departed father. May Allah bless him !

am not sure!!! i've read quran in graveyards a lot. and i still do coz thats teh culture in our country. but some people say its wrong. i dont know. in all cases my goal is to read it for the dead person. so i think i can read it anywhere including the graveyard. am not sure really!!!! this is only what i think.

Reading the book of GOD is non different from GOD. GOD's word are not different from GOD.(not like us). So would you want to hear from GOD in a graveyard or in other place. Depends on your consciousness. However the advise is you be super clean and handle the book super clean and it is your wish where you hear the messages of GOD. GOD likes cleanliness.

You don't need to read it in the graveyard.
You can do it at home with the right intention.
Just pray for him.

wrong , u should pray for him for forgiveness and to be in heaven , and u should have the wisdome form visting graves which is that we all are going to die someday so have we prepared ourselves b4 it is too late , that is the wisdome of visiting graves is to remember the afterlife and do good things in ur life.

just do wat ur mind says u to do its ur wish n there is nothing wrong in it . its a matter of respect n feelings that u hav 4 ur father so y think it as wrong.

i donno abt reading qur'an but i know tht offering salawat in graveyards is prohibited.......i suggest you ask some islamic scholars or imams
