I bought NBA Live 2007 for PC & it meets the requirements but still isn't working...why and how do I fix it?

meets requirements and the installation went fine but when i click on the icon to start the game,my whole screen turns black for like 2 seconds as if the game is going to start but then it just turns into the desktop

Try reinstalling Windows. If that doesn't work, then you'll have to bring the game back to the store to see what is going on.
