Loving someone is more rational, you are more aware of their good and bad points and love them anyway. Falling in love isn't rational, you only see the good, you don't see them in all their humaness.

Is there a difference between being in love with your husband as appose to just loving your mother?

Are you in love with your mother?

Think about it...-_-

Falling in love is fleeting, it is a mixture of really liking someone and lust, wanting to be with them, not being able to eat or sleep, having them on your mind all of the time. Loving someone is for the long haul. it goes further and deeper than falling or being "in love". A good friend of mine put it in perspective when he said "Being in love you feel in your heart. Really loving someone you feel in your soul".

Yes, I just ended a relationship that was that way. Unfortunately it took me seven years to realize it. Just remember it only takes one to love someone, but it takes two to be in love.

of course there is a difference, the easiest way to distinguish this is by listening to the album 'the miseducation of lauryn hill'. someone in class says that you can love someone like your father, but you don't realy be in love withhim, whereas the cutie in class is the one you are in love with =x

when you fall IN love, there's a tendency that you can fall OUT of love when your expectations are not met or something like that..but when you love someone, i guess that's real love, coz u don't expect anything in return..you just love them naturally,w/o any reason..it's unconditional..
