The posters above me have already offered some good advice - especially the first poster who recommended Valerian Root.
All I can add to everyone else's advice is this site which explains what you are going through and categorizes the different sleep aids that are available :

Good Luck - I hope you find relief and peaceful sleep soon !

I don't know if this would help you, but I recently found out, drinking non-caffeinated diet soda during day time prevents me from falling asleep. Also, having any caffenated drink beyond noon seems to affect my sleep too.
Being teen ager, you probably drink plenty of soft drinks. Try cutting it 100% for few days and see if it helps.
By the way, your body takes 12 hours to digest 50% of caffeine you take in, according to some on-line reading.

I have similar problems with sleep, & have had them my whole life. The only remedy I know of is to talk with your doctor to get something to help you sleep. I was given a prescription for Trazodone, and it knocks me right out. It also helps with depression & anxiety (added bonus!).

Insomnia (sleeplessness) is due to stress, dietary and medical
problems. By making small lifestyle changes like having a fixed
daily routine, relaxing and eating properly, insomnia can be
cured. I found the information at http://tinyurl.com/jfzpz useful
for getting sleep.

Yes there are lots but i feel this just don't work. If it is sudden ti may because something has changed or you have something or someone on your mind. If you do have something or someone on your mind write them or it down on a notepad before you got to bed.
