I think romance a lot of times is what we conjur up ourselves in anticipation of what the other person is, but they don't meet our expectations so the romance dies...but it was just a fantasy anyway. Then the real work begins. Don't get me wrong-- nothing feels as good as that romantic flush when you think someone you like likes you/loves you, but a lot of those feelings you are making up yourself.
