how can i become a better person in this world?

i have made so many mistakes it hard to count and right now i have a friend over and we have been on this questioning site for about 2 hours tryin to figure things out. like about hell and stuff.. i really want to become a good person and go to heaven how thou? i mean i kno ur going to say the obvious things pray go to church i do! i just make more mistakes and i dont kno why. im just screwed up i mean i even go to a catholic school to learn more and figure out whats wrong with me. if u can help thank you!

One way I have improved myself is in sharing my knowledge at different community centers and teaching art. Getting involved at a ywca or a ymca or teaching at the library or some other place or supporting an already existing group would connect you with the world. It makes you and others feel better about life and improves the world around you. When you socialize with others you will be less likely to repeat the mistakes of the past. It will also show you that we really aren't all that different, we all have problems.

It is quite simple really: There are times to speak and times to listen. Listening is the most important of the two. Try to treat everyone as you would like them to treat you. Be honest. Be truthful................. If you can do these things, you will live a long and happy life. Don't worry about Heaven or Hell - the good Lord will understand if you have failings and take that into consideration..............
