My husband I will visit Italy this coming December to see some operas. One of them is a Premiere in Milan and I was asked to wear a full length dress for the occasion. But no mention of man's dress code. Should he wear a Tuxedo, which he does not have? In that case what is a passable alternative?

That's a very formal venue and night. I'd have him wear a tux if he will. (You know how guys are!) If he won't do it, the best nicest formal suit he has with a crisp white shirt and elegant tie. I don't think you'd be turned away for that, but I bet there are going to be a lot of tuxes there!

According to traditional etiquette, yes, If you wear a floor length dress he shoud wear a tuxedo. But a black suit and a dark solid color tie will do.If he is adventurous, he can try a black velvet jacket and realy dark grey trousers. I saw that combination last night on TV and it looks great with a black silk tie!

Check out this website. If all else fails, check with whomever told YOU to wear a full length dress regarding the appropriate attire for men.

i could say confident if decrease is super & does not break up the line from head to toe. i could have the gown adapted (positioned on your heels once you do it!) gown could desire to quit halfway on your heel backside. do not overdo makeup or do great hair to characteristic length. no bright prevalent colours

make him wear somthing that makes him feel
good u dont want him complaning all night but you do want him to look good so get him to wear a suity but causal polo shirt with black leather pants and make sure it fits all he well be camplning make him wear brown leather shoes and yer u well look so cool and stylish together
