Andy Rooney once said, "Anything worth saying can be said in five minutes." The same goes for what one writes; if one can't post a short answer to a short question (scientific questions excepted), it's not worth reading.
Anything over 1500 characters (about 300 words), I don't read. You'll notice, though, that it's only the religious who post 10000 character crap, and it's ALWAYS cut and paste...probably because they're not smart or literate enough to write that lengthy.
Consider doing what I do: ANY post that is longer than 1500 (or 2000) characters gets an automatic "thumbs down" and is reported under "Other" for excessive length. I do this even if they agree with me (though that's rare).
I don't understand _why_ posts aren't limited to begin with. You can't send emails longer than 1500 characters and you can't post comments longer than 300 on closed questions. Why not limit the number of characters on responses to open questions? I asked yahoo Answers, but to no surprise, they never answered.

not in basic terms Christians, everyone. I had a classification in inventive writing as quickly as with yet another student who substitute right into a junior editorial author for the community city paper. He substitute into one hundred% incapable of writing fiction. each tale he wrote quickly grew to alter into an expository essay. Dullest guy I ever met. the element being, some human beings can write an answer from the guts, and others can in basic terms reproduction what others have written and are clueless as to the end result it has on others. no count if there is any connection between how their brains are under pressure out and the religion they pick to maintain on with i don't understand, yet i don't somewhat believe there is.

I set out to be truthful, complete and accurate. Not all questions are answered by short little quips. If this offends, oh well, as it is not the intention. I usually only cut and paste scripture and not all just breeze by it, some actually enjoy reading them...if they care more about the answer than brevity.
As far as points go, that's not why I answer questions anyway.

Having been suckered in to read a fair few of them, they content never changes, the bible verses they quote may -marginally- reach the question's outer boundaries, but you have to admit, they are persistent little blighters.
its like reading the same sentance in a book over and over because you keep getting interrupted.
And forgive me, I wanted to copy/paste this a half dozen times to fill it out more, but then I thought if I do get best answer it might set preceedence for the rest of them :Þ

Not only do they serve to annoy, take up extra space, etc, etc, etc. but it's plagiarism people! Just post the link and people who are truly interested can read more about it if they choose.
