...to a hill of beans, why oh why would he leave millions to die in natural disasters, the Holocaust, war.... and why would he allow children to be murdered? Children who, surely, were praying not to die - considering that there's simply no escaping religion, especially for impressionable kids?

No, gm, I'm not. I'm an atheist. It's a follow-up to my last question.

Julia, the loss I've been through is more than most people ever have to bear. If I told you half of it, you'd probably think I was lying.

Yeah, it's interesting, if you think about it. God can find a lover for some random lady in Oklahoma but he can't (or won't, whatever) prevent or stop disasters. Some crazy lady came on here earlier and tried to say that God DELIBERATELY didn't do anything about the Holocaust, because the Jews were wrong about Christ. Seriously, that kind of logic makes me shudder.

1) The Holocaust was a punishment (from God) to the Jews for other God worship. They were warned for hundreds of years through their prophets that God would do this to them, and they didn't listen, but instead killed the prophets.

2) Are these natural disasters because of humankinds failure to take care of the environment? Probably so, since they have increased dramatically since the advent of machinery and automobiles.

3 and 4) God will not intervene in a person's choice to do good or evil. Because of this innocents die.

Now, the reason God doesn't right all wrongs is because He is hoping that more of us will come to Him. He is showing you mercy by giving you time.

You need to understand that all is the result of karma. As we sow so shall we reap... nothing more or less. God is only a Dhrista (an onlooker).

You work (perform your Karma) like an animal ... You are bound to be born one in next Life. You are a true soldier of God, respect all and continue performing your Dharma without violating the right of others ... You may be born an ascetic who while living in a family lives leads a pious Life. Further more depending on your Karma, if you are granted a boon by the Almighty God ... You may Realize-Self, become one with God the Creator within that Life!!

Karma ... with hidden ingredients consists of performing an action both in physical and the Mental World. You do not have to physically kill one to do a Paap Karma. A single stray thought of causing injury to one gains you a Paap Karma. Though the physical harm was not done and the negative marks awarded are much less for a thought injury compared to a physical injury but you get punished by God!!

What of thousands or even more stray thoughts entering your mind daily with little or no control over them!! Your only remedy is invocation of pure thoughts all the time and keeping self engaged in doing a Karma (both physical and mental work) with a single chief aim of Life hovering in your head! God is watching over one and all ... all the time. Whatever Karma you perform is getting recorded in the book of your Life ... Still, do we insist on doing Paap Karma!!! it exists in small wallet of each city and state. some states (particularly the South) are chock crammed with racism the two blatant and indiscreet. there is not any doubt in my ideas that the governments are racist. that's why you will by no ability have a minority president or everyone else in a severe place of ability. real, some senators are minorities yet they quantity to below a p.c. of the final majority. Senator byrd, longest serving senator substitute right into a former KKK member. yet nonetheless he gets elected into workplace everytime, why? us of a of america substitute into equipped upon racism and could stay so. there is in basic terms not an end to racism right here in us of a of america. my guess could be someplace around 20% of the inhabitants are blatant racists, mutually as a sprint greater advantageous than 0.5 of them harbor some racial prejudices. many won't admit to it freely whether it somewhat is there and could be particularly glaring. seem at people who experience subways. they'll by no ability sit down close to or next to the black guy fearing he would rob them or something. quite in recent times with center eastern human beings. individuals are particularly on facet while they are around.

People use examples like this to refute the existence of God all the time. You can't use the sadistic behaviors of man in order to refute God's existence, anymore than someone can use the good fortune of others in order to support his existence. That's why its called "faith." I don't believe God is to blame for the tragedies of the world, and I don't believe he's responsible for all thats good either. We choose what we do, when we do it, how we do it,.... and our actions and behaviors interact and impact others around us.... both positively and negatively. And the earth is natural....natural disasters have always happened, and thats just life.

I don't think God answers prayers. If people pray for what they want and get it, they say that "god answered my prayers." If the opposite of what is prayed for happens, then god didn't answer them. Its crap. In my opinion, we're free thinking, free willed human beings, and our decisions, as well as those of others, is what determines what our lives are.

That doesn't mean that I don't believe in God.... because I do, but there is a huge difference between that and in subscribing to man-made, self-oriented religion that teaches us that God is the "way and the light".... WE are our own way....turn your own friggin light on. Using the intangible belief in God in order to explain or make sense of the unexplainable, or to make yourself feel deserving for the fortunes you have by saying "God blessed me," while others go without.... is nothing more than empty, superficial justification.

I would believe you of the loss you have been through.

To answer this question justly, we would need to talk personally.

However has a general rule - (I just did this Bible Study today - can't remember the verses cause they aren't memorised yet however turst me and I can email them to you tomorrow)

Remember firstly God's desire is - Romans 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him and are called by His purpose. (God will actively intends that good will come of your circumstances)

Is a reason Perserverance, to build character - God wants people who are real and still stand and worship him (Check out Job)

To grow Hope, confident expectation, when you see God come through - this leads to the next one it builds Faith, which is tested and proven and not shaken.

- I know this doesn't help you cope with the pain of anything that has happened, please email me.

We will know the answer to these questions when we go to heaven. You're right it seems flawed but God is outside our time and space and perspective and sees something we can't possibly see right now. Right now we just have to trust Him in spite of the madness. When we get to heaven our eyes will be opened. And God doesn't answer all personal prayers "yes". But we need to communicate with Him to keep us on the right path.

because sometimes the answer is NO .... sounds cruel, but i leave you with this thought....man chose his own path...and God basically has said ...go ahead and do it your way... build your civilizations, create your religions, make your own laws...and let us see how that works out...and I (God) will leave you to it ( and we can see how its working out)...my God is omnipotent..so all those innocents that have died or been murdered ....He can bring them back and give them so much more than they ever would have had here .... death means nothing to HIm..its a joke ... did He want those ppl to die... i doubt it very much... but he has the power to fix it... and I believe in the end He will

One God
[21:21] Have they found gods on earth who can create?

[21:22] If there were in them (the heavens and the earth) other gods beside GOD, there would have been chaos. Glory be to GOD; the Lord with absolute authority. He is high above their claims.

Never Question God's Wisdom
[21:23] He is never to be asked about anything He does, while all others are questioned.

[21:24] Have they found other gods beside Him? Say, "Show me your proof. This is the message to my generation, consummating all previous messages." Indeed, most of them do not recognize the truth; this is why they are so hostile.

One God/One Message/One Religion
[21:25] We did not send any messenger before you except with the inspiration: "There is no god except Me; you shall worship Me alone."

[21:26] Yet, they said, "The Most Gracious has begotten a son!" Glory be to Him. All (messengers) are (His) honored servants.

[21:27] They never speak on their own, and they strictly follow His commands.

The Myth of Intercession
[21:28] He knows their future and their past. They do not intercede, except for those already accepted by Him, and they are worried about their own necks.

[21:29] If any of them claims to be a god beside Him, we requite him with Hell; we thus requite the wicked.

What Books tell you about such things?
If they are in no Holy Books, who will be able to answer convincingly questions based on billions of human minds? If it is not in the books of physics, who can give correct answer about gravity?

From eternity, there are two ways of life:
People who do not believe in God, solve their problems based on their wisdom.
People who believe in God, understand God's answers spiritually based on the Holy Books:
I pray for food, He says yes.
I pray for health, He says yes.
I pray for life, He says yes.
I pray for other people, He says yes.
At my death, He says are you happy, I thankfully say yes. I asked Him why don't You answer my prayers for other people, He says because they turn away from Me, so they can't see My abundant bestowals.
