As long as it is legal it is fine! Don't listen to what close minded people say. However, you both need to talk about this. I don't think anything is wrong with it, but make sure he is OK with it. I wish I had some better advice, but I think as long as the two of you think it is OK, and it is legal, then that is all that matters. Good luck to you two!! :)

this is the person who you will be depending on to make the correct financial decisions. this man has to provide for you. if you become pregnant, he has to bring home some food for y'all. and pay the bills. how can he do that from jail?

i know that you like him or you wouldn't be asking. but think about this. if he were all that, would he be putting himself at risk of jail? if you become pregnant, he will go to jail. fact. if not in your state, then in the ones that are more educated about this subject. that doesn't mean you have to do anything radical if you are pregnant. just wait for him to get out. after his treatment is finished, you can have the court remove the no-contact order that will be put on him and you can live (happily?) ever after. but i have a better idea. why don't you guys just be friends. why don't you go to the church or counselor your parents insurance might cover. find people that have been married for 30 years and talk with them. if you think it is too expensive, how much is the attorney or baby going to cost? and what if you are meant to be together, but just not yet. what is the damn hurry. where are you going if you are faithful. and where is he going if he's faithful. it comes down to this. are you willing to mature a little bit more before you commit to a life together. is he willing to be patient or does he feel he has to do this thing right now. if he just cant wait, what is it he's getting now that he can't get later? it is a good test for both of you. if you can remain faithful but not sexual now for the next 2 years, then chances are the next 60 years you can handle waiting for the other person to understand you when you get in an argument.

yes it is illegal for you 2 to be together that way. but why not just see what you CAN do while you wait. what if you both volunteered at the local hospital together. when you are 30 he'll be 33. that is normal for most americans. but at your age and his age too, his being older means he is using his age to control you. it is hard for you to hear it and him too, but if it isn't true, what will waiting hurt.

Well, he probably doesn't think you are too young for him, especially if you are good looking. And maybe you are mature for your age.
Just be skeptical, there are worlds of experience & difference between life in high school and life in real-world society, even if it's college.
Relationships where you are both in the same life stages are the healthiest and most sucessful, such as you being 22 and him being 25.

It's against the law if someone is 18 messing around with someone three days before their 18th birthday. wait for another 2 years and then do all you want to.

In my opinion, no.

I'm 16 and was with a 21 yr old. He wasn't 'fooling around'. Some guys are genuine, no matter the age difference.

actually 19 and 16 are legal in many states,, go ahead, just be careful,if he was 20 and you 16,, many states would call that illegal. Depends on the state, and yes your parents, because if the parents consent it, then your good to go.

What you should do is remember that at 19 he is probably not looking for a long term relationship (call that a 99+% certainty). So, if he is not looking for a relationship, what do you suppose he is looking for? Hmm, figure that one out and you can decide for yourself what to do.

no, he's not at all TOO old for you... given that you're only talking about going out with him without engaging in any sexual activities, but then if you could get your parents' consent then it really doesnt matter :'D
go ahead if you really like each other, cos guess what 2 years later you guys can do whatever you want!! so good luck :)

If he is 29 and you're 26, do you feel that you are still too young for him?

If you feel you're too young, talk to your parents or guardians regarding this.
