by faith, which was accounted righteousness unto Abraham.
Faith = reliance on God...by relying on Chrit's rigteousness and not our own, is the only way to be justified.

(Gal 3:6) Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.
(Gal 3:7) Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham.
(Gal 3:8) And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed.
(Gal 3:9) So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.
(Gal 3:10) For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.
(Gal 3:11) But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.
(Gal 3:12) And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them.
(Gal 3:13) Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:
(Gal 3:14) That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

we are residing with the aid of the Bible and this is the Bible that announces that it is the fantastic word. various places interior the Bible it says that. In 2 Cor 4 Paul tells us to not bypass previous and exceed what's written. In Peter have been are advised that the word has all that we choose that pertains to life and godliness. In Revelation we are advised to not upload to or do away with from what's contained in what's written. the project is once you upload to the scriptures with guy's techniques you get contradictions with the Bible and that makes God out to be a liar. in case you do not believe the Bible you have freedomto believe what ever you pick, yet once you do believe it then you definately are below some criminal accountability to stick to what it says. Edit: If what John wrote interior the e book of revelation in basic terms utilized to revelation than all different sixty 5 books does not be scriture, and Christ of course suggested that different books have been scriture as did Peter and the apostles. once you say that God could have had the disciples deliver mutually the Bible, who're you to assert what God could or does not have finished? Sorry, you re precise, it somewhat is one million Cor 4:6, i'm turning out to be older, I shouldn't believe my memory lots any greater. one million Cor 4:6 Now those issues, brethren, I even have figuratively utilized to myself and Apollos on your sakes, so as that for the period of us you may learn how to not exceed what's written, so as that no one in all you will substitute into smug in behalf of one against the different. I commend you on a competent question and that i like the communicate yet base line is you have the liberty as a catholic to believe as you like, yet we protestants even have that precise frankly i will proceed to believe that the Bible is God's very final word for us on life.

Examine Yourself
[18:103] Say, "Shall I tell you who the worst losers are?

[18:104] "They are the ones whose works in this life are totally astray, but they think that they are doing good."

[18:105] Such are the ones who disbelieved in the revelations of their Lord and in meeting Him. Therefore, their works are in vain; on the Day of Resurrection, they have no weight.

[18:106] Their just requital is Hell, in return for their disbelief, and for mocking My revelations and My messengers.

[18:107] As for those who believe and lead a righteous life, they have deserved a blissful Paradise as their abode.

[18:108] Forever they abide therein; they will never want any other substitute.

The Quran: Everything We Need
[18:109] Say, "If the ocean were ink for the words of my Lord, the ocean would run out, before the words of my Lord run out, even if we double the ink supply."

[18:110] Say, "I am no more than a human like you, being inspired that your god is one god. Those who hope to meet their Lord shall work righteousness, and never worship any other god beside his Lord."

there is an actual belief system among some Christian denominations that they so saved that nothing they do is bad enough to lose their salvation, and this is very wrong indeed.
firstly all people who come to belief in Jesus, and say that He is their Lord and Saviour, have in fact turned from paganism to Christianity and are but only on the road, to personal salvation, and even this is the free gift of God for we deserve nothing, and can do nothing to merit this.
Jesus sacrificed Himself that we through the graces He obtained on behalf of humanity, might turn from a life of sin and deny our love of sin and imitate His life of faithful obedience and service to God and man.
many people claim to be saved and yet still sin with no thought or care, as if the death of the Lord gives us carte blanche to do so, this cannot be right or faithful service, and if not checked is only lip service in fact.
we must turn away from sin each and every day if we are to be a true follower of Jesus, and what is more we must also imitate His humble life of service by acts of charity to others, regardless of race, creed or colour.
`when did we see you hungry or sick or naked,in prison etc, and not feed or clothe or visit you, and He will say when you failed to do this to the least of My brethern, you failed to do it to Me,and they will go off to everlasting condemnation, this is much too serious to neglect and this Gospel passage should not be dismissed except at our own peril.

this then is a dichotomy of teaching that fundamentally disagree with each other. because in James it says faith without works is DEAD. And it also says that we will be judged and Rewarded according to our works.
It is also written that we need to show works MEET for repentance.
But Jesus also says that he has Made ALL THINGs Clean and condemns those that shall call anyone unclean. Did Peter receive a false vision? or was it indeed Jesus who spoke to him in acts ch. 10?

Romans 4:4-5 When people work, their wages are not a gift. Workers earn what they receive. But people are declared righteous because of their faith, not because of their work.
Romans 4:25 He was handed over to die because of our sins, and he was raised from the dead to make us right with God.
Romans 5:18 Yes, Adam's one sin brought condemnation upon everyone, but Christ's one act of righteousness makes all people right in God's sight and gives them life.

Jesus offers us salvation as a gift because he loves us, not because we have earned it through our powerful faith. What, then is the role of faith? Faith is believing and trusting in Jesus Christ and reaching out to accept his free gift of salvation.

Jesus became sin for us so that we could be made righteous in GOD's sight. ALL we have to do is place our trust in Jesus and trust that the price HE payed for our sin is payment in full for our sin. Read the link below for full details.

that means that the lord looks into your heart and knows your life and he knows your intentions and what you would have done if you could--He's not counting merit badges for helping old ladies across the street when you secretly wanted to kill your elderly mother

It probably means you can't stand before God and say but I did this and I did that, he knows what you did and didn't do and will judge you fairly for it.
