For attnation, to say hello, to say good bye, to say 'Pat me... pat me...', to just talk to you and then to ask you why you don't understandm just for the heck of it. Many many reasons.

its simple! Cats have 4 different meanings for "meow". If you listen carefully, you can hear that each meow is different.

I'm hungry!
I want to go out!
Help!
I want attention!

If i was a cat i would just meow for the heck of it. Or maybe I believe cat's have their own language.

Cats meow and purr and even growl to communicate. "Where have you been?" "What's happening in here?" "Do you know there are Blue Jays in the yard?" "Who is that guy?' Are all things my cat has said to me. At least I think that's what she meant.

It's not just cats. Dogs do the same with their barks. It is their language to say pat me, feed me, im in pain,

that's their way of communicating....like english for some people...each meow is different....
