I had one and the Dentist did a 'Root Canal' and gave me Anti-biotic. After 2 weeks, my face swelled up and I was in excruciating pain. I ended up having the tooth pulled and yet more anti-biotic. Next time it happened, I just had it pulled and that was that.
If the infection is allowed to continue, you could end up having to have a section of jaw bone removed to excise the infected area!
Get it seen too now!

I would call the dentist and have him call in an antibiotic. He may then decide you need to come back in. I am sorry you are in pain. Try a war compress.

I'm using animal grade tetrcycline now for 5 days it works. Buy it at a farm supply for cattle.I put it in 500mg. capsules. I buy the capsules at a dollar stote and empty out the stuff(ginko bola) and use them. I can't afford a Dentist, and my veterans healthcare does not cover a dentist.
