When I was a Christian and used to pray I'm sure there were some that came true, but they were all coincidence. Christians say that God answers prayers with yes, no, and wait. The funny thing is that ANYTHING you pray to answers prayers in that manner. If you pray to a rock, you can say that it answers your prayers with yes, no, and wait. Religion is BULLSHIT. Science is where the only truth lies.

okay, my obscure little prayer was this, in fact, I didn't even address God, although it was heart-felt, more like a wish than a prayer: "I would like to employ people."

Two years later, it was done. Each subsequent year since then, the people have doubled, and I didn't do anything in particular to make it happen. I just kind of "rode the wave". Maybe it was just a glimpse of the future? I'm not a particularly lucky person, so I can't blame luck or coincidence. This is just kind of weird to me. I didn't really think I was the type, but for years I had no goal, and I wished and prayed for the ideal employment, but it never came.

Well, not really, there were a few dead-end jobs that came my way, but as soon as I made the one prayer, and a weak one at that, and only once, it was more swiftly answered than all the other ones put together. So...I guess that there's a direction to my life after all...somehow, I'm supposed to be where I am. And I probably should have been there sooner. But it's kind of vague, isn't it?

Perhaps I should have prayed for something more definitive.

actually yes, a few weeks ago, i was totaly broke and was two days shy from payday. I deperatly needed to gas to get my kids to school, we live 5 miles out of city limits so i was on empty. I was worried the whole weekend then on MOnday morning I said a little prayer asking that I find enough money to take kids to school and next thing you know I found a little over a buck in change and I thought well, it will give me enough for the day, but then i went into the garage and looked through some old work clothes my husband no longer wore, I was actually saving to sell at garage sale but never had one. and I found 6 dollars. So by the time it was time to get kids to school, i already had almost 8 bucks for gas. I know God answered my prayer, no matter how small. God has contiued to bless me. I am so grateful.

The American heart journal did a study on prayer and recovery rates. The study found that when patients knew they were prayed for they suffered from more complications. So knowing someone is praying for you can make you worse off. Otherwise there is no proof prayer works.

Yes!

I can testify of several of my own personal experiences!
One time i prayed to know how to Pray. i was prompted to turn on the TV and on the christian network station a minister was teaching Luke 11. the Lords prayer.
WOW! how about that for a miracle? and an immediate answer?

on a different note I was visiting my dad and sleeping in the back of my Van parked in his driveway and I had in previous months rejected the teaching of a MORMON prophet so I could NOT sustain him as a true prophet. but when I said a prayer to humble myself and sustain him in my own personal solemn assembly I was immediately Layed on WITH HANDs as though a spirit being stood inside my van and gave me a blessing of Peace of MIND.
Something that has eluded me most of my life!
shall i give another?
or should i wait for others to email me for more specific details?

Yup. All the time. But then, prayer probably means something different to you than me.

Absolutely yes right from the very start of learning the truth about him, and even before I did learn about him, I prayed to him even beforeI knew him and he answered me always, not necessarily always the way I expected him to but because I believed that he would answer me, he did answer the first time I prayed I got an answer within minutes but did not realise it untill quite a number of years later.

Yes. Before I was saved, I was a horrible person. I was a hateful thief and drug addict. When I became saved, I still thought the same way I did before and was having trouble escaping my drug and alcohol addiction. I asked the Lord to change my thoughts and make them pure, and He did. I did a total 180 over night.
