a leader is the one who leads the pathway n paves way for the others to go for it whereas leadership is just meare giving of orders. a whooping way 2 say that aleader needs leadership qualities but not dictatorship .atleast i think aleader helps to achieve n leadership supports for it but it is one of the things n not all 4 being a leader

a leader is one who can think and act as the situation demands. he does not waste time on what cannot be done, but tries to find alternate ways to find a solution. he will have the patience to understand his team-mates and to consider their opinions, but make up his mind on the issue and carry it out successfully.

I think plainly speaking, a leader possess certain qualities and leadership is putting those qualities to use by influencing people to take a certain action.
