i know this sounds stupid but my brother wants to know...

sorry, i meant something to the extent as to sew them together or sth, anything dat can put 2 pieces of linen together!

Well, yes- you would simply line up the two cut edges and sew a seam to join them. Ordinarily for sheets and tablecloths the linen is woven to a width that allows pieces to be cut to correct length, so it's not something you do much. True linen is a woven material which frays along the cut edges, though, so you would need to treat the edges with a fabric glue or use a double turned seam to enclose the cut edges, or you could use a pair of pinking shears to cut the edges again. The pinking shears put a shark tooth edge on it, and although it won't prevent all the fraying it will cut it down. If you wanted to wash the material though, it would be best to use a glue or the double seam. Most people would use a sewing machine to join the pieces, but I suppose you could do it by hand if you used a tiny stitch and had loads of patience.
