very creative ! however, i would definitely use the non-sweetened type and don't add sugar. also, i'd mix it with only about half the water so that it would set up really well and not dissolve or weep at room temperature.

The humidity caused by the jello could cause the icing cement to dissolve and your house will fall apart. On large gingerbread displays I have used the following the look like water
blue (flowing creek)or white sugar (frozen river)
mirror with cornstarch edges for skating pond
blue cellophane on a waterwheel

it really is probable something that began with the intention to beautify a get mutually ecosystem which became then eaten close to the right of the get mutually. It stuck on and now the majority are purely for decor. I imagine they do get fairly problematical after some hours although. even as unclear wait and note what others do round you. in the adventure that your pal would have seen others ingesting the gingerbread abode then it will be high quality. If she did not see each person else doing so then she must have taken the hint and enable it on my own. in case you truly pick to devour it yet are literally not sensible then you might want to ask your host/hostess and note what they say. in the adventure that they provide the effect of being at you humorous you could snort and tell them about the way you adore the style of them or inspite of the actuality that.

I think it would loo real enough, considering what you're going with it.

Remember, you're building a house out of gingerbread, caulking it with cream, and using cinnamon dots as doorknobs.

Cool idea, though, never would have though of that.

You can't keep it out though because jello needs refrigeration. I would use blue M & M's or those blue ice hard candies.

I used colored melted sugar to achieve this effect.

You can see the effect in my photo album (see back view of gingerbread hotel).

It should look nice, but not realistic, water is normally clear. (although in a more natural setting it is dark)

try to use clear jelly, and than add one drop of blue food colouring.

don't just put the jelly around, if you can have it like roughly chopped, i think it would look really nice, and real.
