The best sliced bread would be Rye bread or hi fibre- get them from the bakery real fresh- this bread is really tasty.
The best bun breads would either be brown or white- but the freshly made ones not the packeted type- I find the packed ones a bit artificial in texture and taste.
Loaves- fresh olive or low cab loaf. You can slice these to any thickness you like.
The point here is that for a great sandwich -buy really fresh bread. I buy from a bakery, if not at least a good bakery at a store or a store that has a great selections of breads.

I don't know if you have Schewable bread where you are, (factory is in my home town) but they have this bread that has sunflower seeds baked into it. Oh I love it, it just adds to the texture and taste.

I love sourdough, rye or pumpernickel. I love to go to bakeries where the bread is freshly made.
