I have totally ruined my sleeping schedule by staying up way too late into the night, and now into the day. I go to bed about noon. I am having a hard time fixing it, I need to go to bed about midnight, and wake up at dawn.

I am an expert on this. It will be almost impossible to go to bed earlier. You need to stay up later each day. Stay awake till 2PM. Then next day stay awake until 4PM. Then stay awake next day until 7PM and soon you will be back on schedule. See page below on things to relax you which makes you happier.

You need to make yourself stay up as late as possible and not go to bed at noon. Or if you've stayed up all night, go to bed as early as you can, like 3a or 4a or 5a, just anything other than noon.
The other option is if you go to bed at noon and wake up about 8p, then you're not ready for bed at midnight, but make yourself go to bed anyway. You may be awake, tossing and turning most of the night, but it will be worth it to get you back on track. Then when morning rolls around, make sure you get your butt out of bed no matter how tired you are.
You will definitely have a great nights sleep the following night.

The easiest way is to set your alarm and get up at the same time every day, even on weekends. A day or two of getting up very early will have you so sleepy by the end of the day you'll be out like a light.

The one thing you should definitely not do is go to bed when you are not tired enough and lie there trying to go to sleep. You will end up staying awake even longer. If you are not asleep after 20 minutes get up, go in to another room (a quiet room) and do a quiet or boring activity for 20 minutes or until you start to feel sleepy.

Good luck.

You need to get a good sleeping pill from your doctor and take 1 an hour before you want to sleep! do this for a week and set a clock to get up in the morning and get up when it goes off! Do this for a week or too and you will be back to normal!

PS Lay off the caffeine!
