chest pains could be caused by several conditions affecting organs in the chest/thorax or abdomen. examples include costochondritis (musculoskeletal pain), angina from ischemic heart disease ("heart attack"), disorders of the lungs ( pneumonia, pleural effusion, pneumothorax, etc.), some gastrointestinal diseases (peptic ulcer, gastroesophageal reflux, gallstones, etc) or sometimes from some emotional/psychological conditions.
you should see your doctor so he could evaluate your condition and give you proper medication. he could request for some simple diagnostic tests (blood tests, chest x-ray, ECG, etc) to help you with your problem.

Well im 20 years old and have been completely healthy and then all of a sudden i got really sick for no reason. I couldn't figure it out. but going to the doctor is the only way you'll get help. It could probably be a pulled muscle or anything. It doesn't sound really serious but yet that is the signs of a heart attack but women usually only feel like they are going to throw up or have heart burn with heart attacks. Go to the doctor soon. Make sure you make a list of when it started ,when it comes and go if it does or if its constant, what makes it worse. So that your prepared and dont forget.

Allison: Weather your a man or woman, athletic or not, go see your doctor. You can't listen to some of these "arm chair doctors" that have never been beyond a book. Most heart problems start when they are in the younger years whether in your teens or early twenty's. I know more young people that have had fatal heart attacks in their early twenty's then older people, that's a fact.
Now days we tend not to care for our bodies as well as we used to, we eat to fast, run to fast, are always on the go. We're running ourselves to death. Go see a doctor, let him tell you after a few tests that don't hurt that your in good shape. That come back here and tell me I'm a fool.

Easy peasy :
You are a nervous, tensed person.
You need to look at life with some distance.
Are you too much involved in your work/studies/love relation ?...
Just relax, get back to your basic instinctive life, and re build your ego cool and quiet. It will disappear. I have been through it being a very fit nervous boy, but so concentrated on all things around me in life...
You sure do not have any illness believe me.

First of all, which shoulder? It's more likely to be a heart problem if it's in your left side than right; nevertheless, go see a doctor right away! It could be something like diabetes, digestive disorderes or Asama too.

It could be your lungs. It could be Galbladder (those feel high inside you when they are messed up).
It could be your nerves,... not " Oh,.. I'm so Nervous" but " if this gets clipped, limbs will no longer move".
But it sounds like it's most likely your lungs.
Go see a doctor.
