...personally, need any kind of validation from this insane forum?
If you do, I genuinely feel for you.

I hear you, Slippie! I'm in about my tenth one for this character, because of people who cannot keep their fingers off of the abuse button. If I ask something stupid, hell, I'll admit it and learn from it. Duh!!
LOL!

Nope, they're an easy ten points. Especially when you call them on them doing it after they have publically said they have a best answer in an edit.
No, I don't need validation from on here, its why I do ask questions, its to get other people's points of view, or else just to get them thinking.
Besides, its amusing to watch people who try that get hit with the occasional paradigm shift without using a clutch. Makes their brains explode.

I (ahem) write a story or two now and then when I can't find one that I like to read. And well, reviews are something that have made me come to believe that yes, I'm a s.lut for others' approval. I think that we all are...(you aren't going to USE that ruler, are you?)
"Pats on the back"? I want the full body massage, baby. Sadly, I've come to accept and even love this part of my personality. The sooner we all accept it, the better, I say.

yeah I understand what you mean!
You know what really gets me is when people are asking for YOUR opinion about something and someone on here doesn't happen to completely agree with YOUR thoughts on the subject, they are allowed to give you a thumbs down. It keeps me from answering questions sometimes.
I can understand doing it if someone is being mischievous or a jerk, but when you are stating YOUR opinion like the asker wanted in the first place...come on people!

I think that some people answer the way they think the questioner wants them to, so they can get the 10 points to help them get to the next level. Does this make them insecure? Not necessarily; obsessed perhaps.
