Before I got married, I and my drunken brother lived with my now late father. My bro worked second shift, and would often, after the bar closed, run his stereo in his car until 5:00 in the morning! He got caught drunk driving on a couple of occasions, and all, when he got put on a restricted license, it only caused him to drink more, and be more bitter toward both society, as well as the ones who cared about him!
I tell you this to let you know that some people are going to reject any and all help from loved ones, and drink more to rebel against it! I know it is very stressful on both you, your mother, and whoever else may be living in your home, but that's the way alcohol effects people! Best thing I can tell you is to try to find a support group, and pray for this drunken loved one daily! As somebody who went through years of what you're going through now, my heart goes out for you my friend! God's wisdom and strength be yours!

If it is your mother's home there really isn't to much you can do.All i can say is keep an eye over your mom and keep her safe. You do not know when ever this person may try to hurt her while he is drunk.Drunks and alcoholics are unpredictable and can snap at any given moment or word or action. It doesn't matter if you are keeping your mouth shut or not.Be Carefull!

have you ever tried KNEELING DOWN TO PRAY. With your present problem only GOD can help you without hurting your mom's feeling. You can always CRY ALL OUT TO GOD. Remember "PRAYER CAN MOVE MOUNTAINS". GOD might help him overcome the problem. MIRACLES STILL HAPPEN THIS DAYS
