Get her shaved. That's what I did with my kitty. It is a temporary fix.

you can't stop a dog from shedding no matter what breed they are. you need to faithfully brush your dog to keep the spread of hair to a minimum. there are shampoos that guarantee less shed but all they do is open the pores so the coat can come out easily and leave you with more brushing for a couple of days and then it eases for a little while. as for dry skin you need to know if he's being bathed too often or if he just has dry skin. add more oil or fat to his diet to relieve the dry skin, a teaspoon a day and just make sure that he's not over bathed. what climate are you in?

Bathe the animal once a week and keep regular evening brushings with a comb to remove dead skin. There is special shampoo available from the pet store for exsema (? dry skin disorder also found in humans). It's basically a rot. make sure the dog is dried properly after each bath as well

Switch to a better brand of dog food. Brush daily and give some vitamins for the coat. If she is scratching, give a Benedryl pill after checking with the vet.

I assume you have a long haired dog? Go to a horse shop and ask for a shedding blade. It is a metal blade with small teeth.
Brush your dog twice a week and especially the undercoat. This
will pull out all the dead hair...Guaranteed

Sounds like you should lose the dog and get a snake. They shed a couple times a year, but it usually comes off in one piece.

The best way to cut down on shedding is to groom regularly. How often and what you use will depend on what type of coat your dog has.
