What does it mean when the area of the abdomen about an inch above the navel hurts? What is that?

on your left side or on your right?
coulb be anything from something in your large intestine to
hernia.
but a hernia only hurts when you cough unless it is strangulated;then it will hurt when you move around.
best thing to do is get an x-ray.
