Your mother was your age once...so I am pretty sure that she may have had similar problems with her mom.If you do not forgive yourself, you are only holding yourself hostage with guilt. Your mom was probably well aware that you loved her. I am sure that she loved you as well. I am a mother of 3 beautiful girls and if I were to die right now.....argument or not... I would die knowing that deep down inside, no matter what I was doing that may upset them, that they love me with all of their heart. You will have to be a mother before you will ever be able to relate to what I am trying to say. But you will find peace in your heart.....
She was a young girl once and stood in your shoes as far as your confrontation goes...she knows that you love her and that you were just frustrated at your last meeting. Mom's always know!!!!

Nobody knows whether or not the spirit lives on or not, but one thing I know for sure is that there is "something" out there. I've had many experiences in my life that made me believe that. It varies from me being drunk and stoned, out of my mind over and over again over the past 20 years and not ever suffering the consequences of my actions to looking into my dogs eyes and knowing that she knows what I am talking about. Sometimes I can feel that there is someone or something watching out for me.
As far as your mother being upset with you before she died, I can guarantee you that she does forgive you. You should forgive yourself because she will always know how you feel. Don't ask me how I know, I just know.

Dear Gips,
Perhaps you don't know, all in this infinite Universe is energy. Some people name this energy life and compare it with an engine that put in motion all we perceive around us. We selves are only energy, although we don't realise it. Our feelings, our pains who manifest inside our body, are a kind in which this energy shows itself. Sure, you also experienced them. Well, this energy is in fact the God, the "engine" who animates all the phenomenon in the visible and invisible word. We the human being are part of this energy, so we are this energy (life), energy without end, than this energy doesn't end, only transforms. You know Lavoisier has defined this transformation. So, we can disappear like nothing, than the energy doesn't lost. The things happen in the same way with your mother: She still exists (because she is energy), she transforms, she turn into a new way of living. I f you have the occasion, I recommend you make a trip in Jerusalem to the Curch the Holy Sepulture in the period when is celebrate the Ortodox Easter (in spring). You'll have the possibility to see the manifestation of this divine energy.

oh, i'm so sorry. i'm sure she's in heaven looking over you. I have been saved by God in a dream once, but my faith wasn't shattering because of a lost loved one (more of disbelief). as for proof....well, the proof is everywhere. our Earth is made so great (like Earth's *perfect* distance from the sun & how it revolves so each part of our planet gets the sunlight it needs). The bible is also so oddly correct.....
*Moses split the Red Sea *The Red Sea splits by itself actually
*The bible said the universe was expanding *it is
*The bible said Earth was a sphere *it is, once again
These discoveries were made after the bible was written. Coincidence? I think not. Jesus loves you! Blessed be, Val

Poor dear...
I actually have firsthand experience witnessing interdimensional communication. I can't give you details, as I do not completely understand the complex nature of different universes, but I can tell you that death is not an end, but a transition.

It is sad to hear about your mother - losing a mother is probably one of the most difficult things to overcome in life. One thing that might help some is most religious Writings suggest that our soul continues on and continues to grow and develop forever...as mentioned in the following quote. I hope that you find the answers that you are looking for...
"Thou hast asked Me whether man, as apart from the Prophets of God and His chosen ones, will retain, after his physical death, the self-same individuality, personality, consciousness, and understanding that characterize his life in this world. If this should be the case, how is it, thou hast observed, that whereas such slight injuries to his mental faculties as fainting and severe illness deprive him of his understanding and consciousness, his death, which must involve the decomposition of his body and the dissolution of its elements, is powerless to destroy that understanding and extinguish that consciousness? How can any one imagine that man's consciousness and personality will be maintained, when the very instruments necessary to their existence and function will have completely disintegrated?
Know thou that the soul of man is exalted above, and is independent of all infirmities of body or mind. That a sick person showeth signs of weakness is due to the hindrances that interpose themselves between his soul and his body, for the soul itself remaineth unaffected by any bodily ailments. Consider the light of the lamp. Though an external object may interfere with its radiance, the light itself continueth to shine with undiminished power. In like manner, every malady afflicting the body of man is an impediment that preventeth the soul from manifesting its inherent might and power. When it leaveth the body, however, it will evince such ascendancy, and reveal such influence as no force on earth can equal. Every pure, every refined and sanctified soul will be endowed with tremendous power, and shall rejoice with exceeding gladness.
Consider the lamp which is hidden under a bushel. Though its light be shining, yet its radiance is concealed from men. Likewise, consider the sun which hath been obscured by the clouds. Observe how its splendor appeareth to have diminished, when in reality the source of that light hath remained unchanged. The soul of man should be likened unto this sun, and all things on earth should be regarded as his body. So long as no external impediment interveneth between them, the body will, in its entirety, continue to reflect the light of the soul, and to be sustained by its power. As soon as, however, a veil interposeth itself between them, the brightness of that light seemeth to lessen.
Consider again the sun when it is completely hidden behind the clouds. Though the earth is still illumined with its light, yet the measure of light which it receiveth is considerably reduced. Not until the clouds have dispersed, can the sun shine again in the plenitude of its glory. Neither the presence of the cloud nor its absence can, in any way, affect the inherent splendor of the sun. The soul of man is the sun by which his body is illumined, and from which it draweth its sustenance, and should be so regarded.
Consider, moreover, how the fruit, ere it is formed, lieth potentially within the tree. Were the tree to be cut into pieces, no sign nor any part of the fruit, however small, could be detected. When it appeareth, however, it manifesteth itself, as thou hast observed, in its wondrous beauty and glorious perfection. Certain fruits, indeed, attain their fullest development only after being severed from the tree."
Baha'u'llah, Gleanings from the Writings of Baha'u'llah, p. 152

I do believe that the spirit is eternal but most importantly, I believe that once we leave this human flesh, we leave all of the petty things behind as well. Not to down play anything that you and your mother went through but that is just my humble thought.
Peace and Happiness to you,
J

You cope with loss the best way that you can. Do not concern yourself with 'afterlife', as that is a myth, so you can only concern yourself with yourself.
Do not punish yourself mentally, it's too late to right wrongs. Cope with YOUR life and do what would please you and your living friends and family. Learn from the experience and put that lesson to good use.
