You are 14? You should do what your parents advise you to do. This guy is already trying to tell you to disregard or disobey your parents? He sounds like a manipulator and a loser. I would kick him to the curb before he screws up your life.

Since the year you become an adult is age 18, then 18 should be when you start dating. In my time it was 21. Assuming your bf is your age then I think he is talking about dating because he has "the urge", it's new to him, and he hasn't learned how to control himself yet, and he wants to use you, and it has nothing to do with you as a person or you emotionally. If he convinces you now to date him and knows you will be weak and go his way, then he could also get you pregnant and at your age that will ruin your life, your career, your income and will mess with your emotions and cause you and your family a lot of grief as well.

It's funny that you haven't dated this guy yet but that you call him your boyfriend. That's an oxymoron (look it up).

Tell him you don't want to date yet.

14 isn't younger to date, if it's just dating and nothing else. Same if you can't date you have a boyfriend, so if you go out with him telling the truth are you parents it's probably better than going out telling you arents you go out with some friends when you don't. At first you should talk with your parents. The fact is that girl who gain their liberty in one time, like when they get it at 16, they have more luck to want to used it too fast. You need to obtein your liberty time by time. You can talk to you parents about your boyfriend, then date him same if at first it's gonna be only during the day, our the time of a moovies. Take your time and tel your parents that you are ganna take all your time.

okay first of all your too young to start dating. Listen to your parents they know what is best for you. Always tell the truth no matter what. If your not allowed to date then maybe next year or so enjoy life now and maybe just maybe your parents may change their mind.

Good Luck in life... :)

Well, its up to you. Not your parents, not your boyfriend; you. If your parents think its too young, then you may or may not want to heed that, but be aware that in the last generation, as in every generation before, dating was very different. Just make sure you make YOUR decision for yourself.

Honestly, I think it depends on you, and what you want.

There is no set age to date - it depends on how conservative your parents are, where you live (which affects how conservative, e.g. Asians are more conservative), among other factors.

It is normal to have crushes at 14, but if your parents object, then you might not want to go against them.

Just don't do anything stupid (i.e. have sex or something).

Say that you are not allowed to date, but would like to be friends.
