Your parents can buy you a visa or MasterCard gift card that can be reloaded. However it won't say your name on it or anything like that. My two older children live 2000 miles away and that's what i give them for Christmas or birthdays not that they give crap, but you just go into most banks and asks for a Visa gift card in $? dollars

What you need is a gift card. Something with a spending limit that isn't attached to your parents checking account. If your parents have the extra money ask if you can get a gift card to buy what you need. Just keep in mind. When you buy online you are paying shipping charges. They aren't cheap.

Answer 3 was good. I've never know anyone selling pre-paid cards to card how old the buyer was if they pay cash.

BTW: there is no such thing as a pre-paid credit card. If it is pre-paid it is a debit card, even if VISA or MasterCard calls it a credit card.

get a bank account and they will give you a debit card or buy prepaid credit cards at any retail store.
