You have to ask them how they feel about it and find out what they think about you dating. Ask them what age you have to be before they let you date. Usually parents make kids wait until they are about 16.

You are too young to start to date, when you ask your parents or tell your parents they will say the same thing, and then prepare to be grounded if they think you might be sneaking out to see someone etc. At this time you should just concentrate on school and sports etc. There will be plenty of time for dating in a few years..By age 16 most parents allow their kids to date. so you don't have long to wait.

Tell them you want to start to date when you are 16!

Research shows that when girls date younger than 16, they get pushed into sex very easily and once they start having sex, they have more partners, are less discriminating, and are often abused.

For some reason 16 is a magic number, where a young lady such as yourself will have gained the maturity and strength to make better choice for yourself.

You have many years ahead to date, eventually marry and have a family, etc. At 14, you should enjoy being young and just be friends with boys, which helps prepare you for when the time comes.

Best Wishes,

Sue

How strict are your parents? Sit them down and let them know that you think that you're at the age where you want to date and that you are mature enough to start dating. They'll either tell you no that you are too young or set down some ground rules. I told my daughter that she can have a boyfriend but she has limitations. She can speak to him on the phone and hold hands and even kiss on the cheek but that's it and if she disobeys the rules then she'll lose her privileges. They'll be impressed with the fact that you came to them before actually dating and bravo to you for doing that, that is a very ADULT thing to do and good for you!!!

Although I am a guy. I am 14, started dating at 11. Find a really good guy who is really nice, NOT A BADASS. Just to show ur parents that u can be trusted with him. If he has good grades and is smart that is a plus for ur parents. Good luck hopefully u can date soon.

Sorry as a parent you are Too young to date , but not to go in groups to parties, and malls, and skating, if you want to spend time with him alone then ask you're parents if you can have a male friend over to watch videos, or just hang around the house talking to get to know him and let you're parents get to know him too and then when they trust maybe you will be old enough to go out on dates but after you're 16. not yet Please don't tryto grow up so fast enjoy you're younger years, it only get tougher as time goes, by and you are older.

Talk to your parents about dating and what that means to you.
Tell them why you want to start dating.
Tell them what your rules will be that will keep you safe.
Tell them where you stand on the idea of sexual activity.
If you're not mature enough to talk about dating, dating rules, and sex with your parents, at least your mom, then you are not ready for dating.

Well, go to them & tell them that you think that you are mature enough to start dating. If they think that you aren't, prove to them that you are. Introduce the person that you are thinking about dating to the parents, & have them get to know the person first.

That will show them that you are willing to let them know who you are dating, & they'll also know who it is. That might make them a little more comfortable with the idea.

If your parents know who you are dating then they get to yell at him worse than you because he should respect there wishes as well as yours.

Hope this helps.

You will just have to talk to your parents about it. If they give you negative reaction mention group dating (when a group of kids go out together) What ever you do try not to deceive your parents because they can make it impossible for you to date.

Tellyour parents you have met a person and he/she is a special friend. You are too young to date. You have to finish school. You can have friends of course, but your priority is your education. You can date later in life when you can handle the intricacies of dating..
